Simultaneous Interpretation
Oral translation: the interpreter simultaneously translates the original speech into the target language. To carry out their work, the interpreter is positioned in a soundproof booth, equipped with headphones and a microphone, and the audience listens to the interpretation through their headphones. This method is used in events with more than two languages or with a large number of attendees (congresses, conferences, seminars, courses).
Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI)
Interpreters, participants and speakers connect remotely via a platform ( Zoom, Webex, Teams…) that allows for the delivery of simultaneous translation. All that is required is a computer or mobile device, headset and internect connection to join multilingual online events.
Consecutive and liaison interpreting
In consecutive, the interpreter takes notes and then reproduces the original speech in the relevant language. It does not require a booth or headphones. It is ideal when there is only one speaker and several listeners, such as press conferences, speeches at official events, presentations, etc.
Liaison interpreting consists of translating during a conversation between two or more people and does not require any sound equipment. It is used in bilateral meetings, small format meetings, business trips, interviews or court cases.
